After a quite intensive travel schedule, I decided to have a relaxed day, so I slept in till 8.15 when I was awoken by a train passing. In urban areas it apparently needs to constantly blow a horn to warn people. I joined an information meeting, to hear about the various options for activities that we could do in Galle. After this I read a bit and went to the reception at 1 pm to say goodbye to the people from our group that were heading for an extension of their trip in the Maldives. Then I enjoyed a cocktail, a dip in one of the swimming pools (the ocean looked very inviting for a swim, but apparently was too dangerous for that) and an Ayurvedic massage that I had booked at the spa. This massage literally covered head to toe, it was a little different from what I am used to, but I can really recommend giving it a try. We were warned that a firm rub of the breast was part of the traditional massage, so that we would not get upset when this happened, but I think my lady had had to deal with too many angry tourists in her life, so she firmly rubbed around them.
The group that joined for diner was getting smaller and smaller, since the group was not complete anymore and since some people preferred some together-time with their partner or others. Luckily for the single travelers, the groups was big enough to still have enough people join for a nice group dinner.
